Statment
On Tradition is the culmination of Moshava Art’s 2026 Artist Cohort. These six selected artists will have spent a month creating in our studio, gathering at our dinner table and consulting with a handful of seasoned mentors. You are invited to celebrate their accomplishments at our opening reception
The artwork included in this group exhibition explores the broad theme of ritual, custom and culture. Whether it is a full plate or an empty kitchen, the compositions let us participate in the traditions of each artist on display.

Tal Tamam
Tal Tamam is a New York-based Israeli painter whose work uses humor, theatricality, and everyday domestic imagery to explore anxiety, survival, and social participation. In Fennel Eaters, her solo exhibition at Moshava Art, vegetables become culturally charged symbols of ripeness, instability, and change, reflecting the uneasy space between innocence, awareness, and what is fresh or forgotten.
Noy Finer
Noy Finer is a New York City-based Israeli photographer whose multidisciplinary work explores home, memory, identity, and emotional landscapes. In Fragments of Home, a 15-piece solo photography exhibition, Finer uses scanograms, collage, handmade prints, and blurred imagery to examine displacement, adaptation, and the challenge of preserving a sense of self while building a new life.
Josh Tiessen
Josh Tiessen is an internationally award-winning eco-surrealist artist whose paintings explore faith, environmentalism, philosophy, and humanity’s relationship with nature. In Josh Tiessen: Solo Residency Exhibition, his symbolic work brings animals, abandoned spaces, irony, and visual theology into conversation, exploring ecological harm, moral responsibility, and hope for a restored creation.
Lenore Mizrachi-Cohen
Lenore is a Brooklyn-based visual artist whose work is shaped by her Syrian Jewish heritage, identity, and family history. An internationally exhibited artist and founder of Muse, a Brooklyn artist collective studio, her work has appeared in exhibitions, publications, and media across the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Israel, including the 2025 survey Heritage: A Survey of Consequential Jewish Artists in the US.
