CALL FOR ARTISTS

Entry Deadline: June 15th

Moshava Art invites submissions for “A Village in the City,” a  juried exhibition.

Moshava, which means “village” in Hebrew, is a coffee shop and art gallery located on historic West 8th Street in Greenwich Village, and is owned and operated by Jews for Jesus. Through these creative spaces, Moshava is building into what has long made this neighborhood unique: a place where people come together to share ideas and feel connected - a village in the city.

For our festival competition, artists are invited to share their artistic vision and interpretation of the phrase “a village in the city.” The artwork may vary from all styles and mediums. Artists in NYC over the age of 18, regardless of experience level, are encouraged to submit their best-inspired work.

Up to 10 selected artists will be featured in our four-day summer festival exhibition at Moshava Art Gallery, from July 6th-9th, including an opening and closing reception, as well as artist talks. All exhibiting artists will be able to sell their pieces. The gallery will take no commission, and all sales transactions must be made directly through the artist. First, second, and third place winners will be announced at the closing reception and with monetary prizes of $500, $300, and $200, respectively.
